    Resumo

    Research on the topic of talent management and job retention has aroused the interest of several researchers and has grown the interest of research in this particular area. This research aimed to make an empirical verification of a theoretical model between the perception of organizational support, job satisfaction, job retention and professional permanence, It is a study carried out at the Open University Isced (Unisced), this university has a representation in all the provincial capitals of Mozambique. 214 workers participated in the study, where a questionnaire was applied to the workers. They answered questions related to sociodemographic data and the scale of perception of organizational support, job satisfaction scale, job retention scale and job permanence. Descriptive statistics, exploratory analysis, confirmatory analysis and verification of the theoretical model were performed. From the results of this study it is emphasized that the scales are reliable and their psychometric indicators corresponded to what was expected, in the statistical criteria required by the literature. With the study it was proven, that the professionals evaluated in their job satisfaction, in relation to the institution itself and the implementation of bond and organizational support, this, evaluated in the perception of organizational support, are factors that make talents feel satisfied, once satisfied they tend to remain at work, in this case it can be assumed that the retention strategy was effective.
