    Resumo

The autothermal oxidative pyrolysis of forest residues was investigated in the fast pyrolysis pilot plant of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), which use a fluidized bed reactor. The experiments were carried out between 450-580°C, 12 to 15m3/h and feeding mass flow of 7-13kg/h with 47.1 to 55.7%wt production in the liquid fraction that can be divided in acid extract (AE), light bio-oil (LB), and heavy bio-oil (HB). The heating value increased 36.6% when compared to the in natura biomass and similar to the inert pyrolysis in literature, 25MJ/kg. The composition of the bio-oil was made, and it can be notice a small increase in the methoxy and dimethoxy phenol compounds. In this work we were able to evaluate the mass consumption to maintain the reaction autothermal and based on the assumptions adopted, biomass consumption is around 5%wt. Based on these results, autothermal oxidative pyrolysis presents itself as a good alternative to complement the large-scale Fischer-Tropsch Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (FT-SPK) process in the production of aviation biofuel.
